I have wanted to write as long as I can remember. At the age of 12, my classmates predicted that one day I would become an author. I am so glad that they were right. Of course, I had to earn a living first so that one day I could follow my dream of writing. I attended Cortland State College from September, 1962 to January, 1966, at which time I graduated early. I then started teaching and working towards my Master's Degree in English and Education.

For 30 years I taught middle school English at Lawrence Middle School, in Lawrence, Long Island, New York. I retired in June of 1996.

My writing is often, but not always, based upon my own experiences. I draw experiences for my characters though similar experiences that I have lived through, although there are incredible differences between the reality of my life and the fiction that I write. My book on Robert Browning was based upon my Master's thesis. I have always loved both Browning's and his wife's poetry, but most of all, I was touched by their love story.

I have been writing poetry all of my life, but the poetry in my book, Poems of Joy and Praise to God" was written over the last 15 years.

I am married to a wonderful man, Emanuel Lodico, and I have two step-children, Diana and William. Through William and his wife, Lina, I have three grandchildren: Alexis, Lauren and William, whom I love very much. It is a privilege to live close to them and watch them grow into extraordinary young people.

My first husband, Nicholas Micucci, died in August, 1987, 3 months before my dad died. My mother died in 1992. I miss them all very much.

I love animals. Currently, I am having a book published, which is a tribute to all the wonderful pets that I have been privileged to know and care for.

Writing helps me express my feelings and share with others. I thank God every day for the ability to be imaginative and to communicate with others. For years I worked on teaching my students to write. Now it is my turn to write and keep developing my God-given talent.
